GRE is not mandatory for all the universities but RWTH Aachen has it mandatory. Your will get rejected from RWTH if you do not have GRE scores. There are few more universities which demand GRE scores, And, GRE scores will not harm your chances to get admits from other German universities, So take the exam it would give you an advantage.

TOEFL/IELTS is mandatory for every university. Without proving your English proficiency certificate you cannot submit your application and you will never get an admit from any of the university. However, Handful University do entertain students applying for their graduate program without IELTS/TOEFL. Only if your overall profile is exceptional. They would release a conditional offer letter asking for submission of TOEFL/IELTS score card and then they would release an unconditional offer letter.

Generally the minimum score expected from international students would be about

  • TOEFL - 87-92 / 120
  • IELTS - 6.5 / 9.0
  • GRE - 300+ / 340 (No university would explicitly mention it in their website but, it is any day good if you have at least 300+ in GRE).

Hope it helps! Cheers 🙂
